Laina is a LLB (law) graduate and currently enrolled as a candidate attorney at the Justice Training Centre (UNAM), with 5 years of professional experience in secretariat and medical aid fund administration.
She joined the Pinotech team in 2024 to pursue her interest in corporate governance and provides company secretariat support to a number of Pinotech clients. She previously worked at NAMBAHU AND ASSOCIATES as an intern, researching criminal and civil cases in lower and higher court judgments, debt collection, legal drafting, shadowing consultations with clients, preparing legal opinions, drafting and reviewing commercial agreements and contracts with assistance, legal research, and general shadowing of court attendance.
Laina is a member of the Namibian Women in Law Association (NWLA). She participated in the Patience Masua Foundation Business Cohort in collaboration with the Village Africa Bootcamp in Cape Town, South Africa, and was part of the Business Management Training, the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF), as well as the Africa Development Banks’ Fashionomics Africa Incubator and Accelerator Programs.
Her area of competencies are Company Law & Law of Contract, Social Dimensions of Justice and Labor Law, Human Rights Law (Fundamental Rights)
